Here we go, it's tournament time!
Firstly, the NZ 9th Age Tournament scene is being kicked off with Mini Guardcon in Auckland in two weeks (28/29 May). This will be first event held in New Zealand for 9th Age, and is currently sporting a turn out of 20 competitors! This is brilliant! It's great to see so much interest so soon!
Although it is now into late registration stage, if you are in the Auckland area this weekend and what to jump in on this event, contact Phil at wouster7@hotmail.com.
Following this, a week later is NICon 2016, being held at the Fraser High School in Hamilton over Queens Birthday weekend (4/5 June). At this point, there are over 100 competitors who have entered in a huge variety of events, from Warhammer 40k to Warmachine, Bolt Action to X-Wing.
Alongside this, in collaboration between myself and Brian S, we are running The 9th Age: A New Dawn. We are currently sporting 12 players for the weekend, with plenty of space for more! Registrations are due in Friday this week (20 June), and if you are interested in another great weekend of gaming, hit us up at either brian.smith1990@live.com or plaguebearersnz@gmail.com.
This is so far a great turn out for the first 9th Age tournaments, with both events qualifying towards your rankings.
